WAXES When making a candle it is very important to choose the right wax for the right candle. We can supply you with any of the following waxes.
-M3m Paraffin wax Paraffin wax is petroleum based and is less expensive than the other waxes out there. The wax normally comes in powder form.Paraffin wax in its raw form is odourless, white and waxy. This is the wax to use to make yr everyday candles.
Beeswax Beeswax is a natural wax and so easy to work with. The wax comes in pre-coloured sheets or in pebbles, It is naturally Aromatic so you would not have to add a fragrance. The wax has a very low melting point and is a sticky wax. When rolling the sheet of wax into a candle heat it up slightly with a hairdryer that's on low heat....that will make it more pliable and easy to work with

- Gel wax The gel wax is made from a combination of a gelling agent and a combination of processed mineral oil. The gel wax is used in containers or glasses as it is a clear wax. When you make gel candles you start off on a very low heat and increase it slowly.....One thing about gel wax is the longer you heat the wax the less bubbles you will have, and with this kind of candle you can really get creative, you can add your own colour and fragrance of choice. We sell the gel wax in 1 liters and 5 liters....We have also made up different GEL CANDLE STARTER KITS, They range between R98.50 And R190.00

Different gel kits available.
Chinese fully refined wax This is a wax with a very low oil content. It is a much harder wax and is more of a translucent wax than a white wax. This wax is used in cosmetics. What you could do is mix half paraffin wax and half fully refined wax just to make your candle slightly harder. To make your Chinese fully refined wax white you would add steric acid. Your fully refined wax will burn longer and it does not drip much.
Steric Acid Steric acid which is also know as 'Sterin' is an additive which is used to harden or even whiten wax. The harder a wax is the longer it will burn, and in the warmer months the candle will retain its shape better.

Different wicks When making a candle choosing the wick size is very important. The appropriate wick size is essential in order for the candle to burn correctly. The wick determines the speed at which the candle burns. If the wick is to large for the candle it will cause to much wax to melt and smoke alot. If the wick is to small the flame will be smaller and wont melt enough wax and in time will drown itself out. We have a thin, medium and thick wick....we can also supply you with the a metal core wick that has a sustainer attached to the bottom....that you would use for your gel candles.

Aluminum Tape Now this is one product i would never be able to work without when making my candles. Its an aluminum tape that has a sticky side which you would use to seal up your mould when making candles. No matter if you are a beginner or a pro at making candles you will always get that one mould that decides to leak.....by using the aluminum tape you will prevent that horrible leaking.

Mould Releasing spray. This would be sprayed into your mould to prevent yr candle from sicking to the mould and allow it to release easily.
